What is Design Thinking?

Design thinking is a process of strategizing to develop business cases and prototypes that can help organizations solve complex business problems.

Albert Einstein said, “We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them”. This is what even Design Thinking emphasizes on. The core principle of Design Thinking is finding unique solutions to common problems and not the other way around. It helps the organizations to create a culture that encourages innovation and take an integrative thinking approach to solve complex business problems. Innovation in Design Thinking is the fuzzy front-end that can be achieved if employees integrate various internal and external perspectives that influences the business, collaborate with cross-industry experts and have a customer focus to create a prototype that can be tested in real time.

Innovation is no longer just a strategic decision, it is necessary for survival. Organizations are under constant pressure to innovate their business model, products and services not just to remain competitive but to remain relevant. There is a great demand for predictable and effective innovation and design thinking programs to cope with the pace and quantum of change required. Organizations require consultants and facilitators who can run by their side hand-holding them through this process of Design Thinking and cultural change.
