Diverse groups are characterized by differences in their demographics, philosophies, education, and choices. Despite differences, equity aims for fairness. By contrast, inclusion encourages participation, fosters belonging, creates a psychologically safe work environment, and encourages participation. The first step towards becoming an inclusive organization is to embrace diversity. Diversity cannot guarantee inclusion, but it can help you get there.
Champions play a crucial role in this journey. As part of the DEI charter, they need to create and implement policies and rituals, build a network of allies, and reinforce inclusive values.
The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Champion Certification from Strengthscape aims to enable Champions to lead by example and foster a culture of inclusion at work. An industry first, the certification is aimed at people of all experience levels in the field of DEI. The program is tailored to meet the needs of a global workforce and delivered by industry experts. It uses a fine balance of conceptual clarity, insights from neuroscience and industry trends, peer learning, relatable real-time examples, case studies, and individual and group practice sessions to explain course content.
